Love, in all its forms is the best gift. The giving of it enriches the lives of both the giver and the receiver. So why is it that there are so many people in this world with no love in their lives? Some people will say that they are too picky or that they haven’t found the right person yet. Others complain about their own inadequacies, thus being undeserving of love. The reality is, that these people are all trying to rationalize a basic fear that we all share. The fear of rejection. We fear that by showing our love, we will risk a painful ego-damaging denial. Love is not something that needs to be returned. It is not something that can be refused. If love exists, then it exists. There is no reason to believe that we are only good people if those we love also love us back. The trouble is that most of us have been practicing holding our love back for so long, that we believe there will be one person out there that we can love and so that person had better love us, or we will be forever unloved. If we were to change our thinking, we might see the lie that we have been chained to for so long. Look around you and see all of the people in your life worthy of love. You should be free to care for these people. Show your feelings through words and actions. Perhaps, through your courage, they will find the strength within themselves to escape their own cage. But even if they don’t, you will feel free. You will have let go of one of life’s most powerful fears and it will make you free.

Gone To Soon.

The undefined span of life is a scary thing.

Some of us get to live a long fulfilling life.

Others leave this world far too soon.

and it's tragic when they do.

What would you say or do, 

knowing that you may not see someone again?

Would you be a little more kind?

Would you express how much you love them?

Would you appreciate their presence a little more?

We'll never know how long our time is..

But I think that's the point....

God doesn't tell us when or why because we have to learn to appreciate what's around us.

we have to learn to appreciate the people and the relationships.

Four young, amazing hearts were lost this weekend.

Sons. Brothers. Uncles. Friends.

It's a shame to see such great lives ended so soon.

My prayers go out to the families of these men, in hopes that they will be comforted in knowing God has something better in store for them.

JORDAN: Although we didn't get the opportunity to know eachother, I was blessed to talk with you and see a portion of the great person I know you are. And I hope that some day we'll get the chance to hang out like we planned.

 I love all the details that go into weddings; 

cakes, dresses, food, flowers, music, showers, and parties. 

I really do love just about every element.

I don’t know when I’ll get married, or who I’ll get married to,

 It’s sometimes easy to get caught up in dreaming about how you want your perfect life and wedding to go, but His plan is even more perfect than we can ever dream about.

I love that everyone has a story.

Think of the hundreds of people you interact with daily.

It's easy to be rude.

We're all so wrapped up in our own little worlds that we forget that others exist.
we blind ourself to the people around us,

When you live with that in mind, you treat others with more respect.

 Believe the best in people; we’re all going through stuff.

 People you would never expect to have a single hard day in their lives have been through some real tragedies.

My Roots..

I would have to say, first of all she is my Mother

with a capital "M"

She's something sacred to me and I love her dearly.

.. 

Second, she's my best friend.

She's someone I can always talk to.

I can't count the many hours I've spent sitting with her after school or work just talking about my day. 

She's an amazing listener, and some how she understands just how I feel, and knows just what to say to make it all better.

Any trial that I've overcome or broken heart that's been healed, can always be traced back to her and her amazing advice and knowledge.

She's a woman of beauty and grace.

She's never been materialistic or vain, 

and yet some how she is the most beautiful woman I know.

She's patient and kind.

Despite all of my short-comings and all of my flaws,

she still loves me unconditionally and she shows that love daily. 

Unfortunately I'm not always that patient with her, but she is my example to be a little bit better everyday.

She is my miracle.

Not many people know or understand the trials she's been through.

And that's because you'll never see curse or whine about the trials life throws her.

When I was 12, she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer,

a cancer that has no survivors...

except my mom.

         

She's hand down the strongest woman I know.

She is my hero.

I don't know where I would be today if it wasn't for her.

I'm strongly convinced that the reason she's still here is to take care of and help me.

cause let me tell you...

I struggle!

Bless her heart for putting up with me for the last 20 years.

I'm so extremely nervous to become a mom and have kids,

but I know that if I can just be half the mom that my Mother is..

they'll be just fine.

Thank you Mom! Thank you for being incredible woman you are! I can't thank you enough for the love, support, and encouragement you've always given me! You are and forever will be my best friend, and

I'm so glad you're the woman I get to call Mom.

There aren't enough words to describe how much I love.

Summer of twenty-eleven did me well,

too well. 

Even though it will be a hard summer to beat,

I'm a firm believer in making every year a little better.

For the past four years me and my best friend have put together a bucket list for each summer.
